Comment Guidelines

Procedures and Considerations

We put a lot of thought and effort into the blogs we post. Commenting on others’ posts require the same consideration.

Your responses should be:

  • positive and reflective – think about how you want others to comment on your work
  • clearly stated – make sure your comments stay on topic and the words you choose fit the context
  • respectful – even if you disagree with a post, use kind language to state your ideas and consider the context of the post and your comment
  • in line with the guidelines we use for writing our own posts
  • free from messaging and texting language and emojis

You are creating a connection with other bloggers when you comment – you are starting a conversation.  Ask questions and invite the blogger to respond.  Read any other comments before posting your comment and be sure to read over your comments before you post them.
